Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I am a Media teacher in an Inner City London secondary school of eight years standing.  I am extremely interested in the use of 'ubiquitous technology' to increase educational engagement and the potential this has to strengthen democracy.  I recently completed a Masters degree in Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College and wrote on this area for my dissertation.  I would like to develop software for handheld learning that could engage students at risk of becoming 'NEET' in particular.  I have approached software developers to get involved in this with me which we could trial at the school where I work.
