Personal Statement

I am a Kenyan and a member of faculty at Pwani University College, Kenyatta University, Kenya.  My current research interests include effective application of formative assessment in e-learning environments and how it can enhance learning in higher education. I am also interested in innovative development, adaptation and use of open source educational resources /software.

My interest in ICT education emerged in the course of my practice as a teacher in the field of Information Technology, and ICT literacy in a range of programmes including Teacher Education, Agriculture and Science Education at tertiary level.

ICT Interests

My core areas of interests include Educational digital technologies, ICT education for teachers/educators, e-Learning/e-Teaching, Web-based applications and information systems.

I am passionate about sharing experiences particularly in relation to effective integration of ICT into teaching and learning with other colleagues who share the same vision around the world.
