Personal Statement

I believe that technology is not a single tool, but a whole toolbox; if we use the right combination of tools we will be able to integrate ICT more effectively. I would describe myself as an Educator who is interested in bridging the digital divide using new technologies especially Open Source Software.

ICT Interests

My interest is mainly in FLOSS (Free Libre Open Source Software) and Web 2.0 in education. As a Google Certified Teacher I advocate the use of Google Apps for Education.

Recent Projects

Previous projects have been: The Essential Qualities for Effective Leadership in Schools and How can I improve the learning of my pupils in ICT?

Publications

A regular contributor to Dialogue Online educator website, with a monthly column titled ‘Cairo Diaries’:

Also the technical editor for the moment magazine and the technology writer for Maadi messenger magazine.
