Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I’m an education technologist who has worked on online learning projects since 1999. Despite completing a Bachelors Degree in Celtic Studies, one of my first jobs was in e-learning and I’ve had a passion for education technology ever since. I have a Master of Education Technology from the University of Southern Queensland.

I’m Dutch but have lived in Germany, Ireland and Egypt. In 2006, I moved to New Zealand to work as e-learning advisor in tertiary education, currently at EIT Hawke’s Bay.

My special interests are Moodle, personal learning networks & networked learning, instructional design and staff development for e-learning.
