Personal Statement

I work as a Senior Learning Adviser within the school improvement service covering Flintshire, Denbighshire and Conwy in North East Wales.

My subject specialism is English, drama and media. Having completed 23 years in schools in Cheshire, Ruthin and Wrexham, I made the move into the advisory sector where I work across all stages.

I have a keen interest in ICT as a skill across the curriuclum as well as in my own subject area. In the 1990s I completed a Masters degree on the impact of ICT within language teaching.

ICT Interests

Mac and PC platforms. Development of ICT and eLearning across the curriculum, including Web2 and VLE developments. Potential for use of tablets in schools. Particular interest in how schools overcome difficulties such as wi-fi access, sufficiency in range, protocols, security, etc.
