Personal Statement

Ever since I can remember, I have always been intrigued by technology. From boyhood dreams of the machine-in-your-pocket that would do everything, through my professional career as a teacher seeing the opportunity that technology brings, to now, where much of that opportunity has been realised and is now in practice in my room and many others. The way we use technology and the learning that takes place, not solely the tool that technology represents, is my driving passion in my classroom and hopefully I inspire this in the rooms of the teachers I lead.

ICT Interests

Recent Projects

I have recently started working on the PLANE (Professional Learning Anytime, Anywhere Network for Educators) project

My area of interest in PLANE includes the creation of a Games Based Learning "metagame" (a game, about GBL, that helps teachers use GBL in their classroom) and an online course on Transformation Change in schools.

Both are works in progress, as of September 2011.
