MirandaNet Fellowship Profiles (MirandaNet Archive - as of March 2015)
An expert in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), I specialise in mobile learning, classroom technology, e-portfolios and developing Blended Learning in Higher education subjects. I completed a BEd Secondary IT teaching qualification in 2003 and gained QTS in a school. For the past 6 years I have worked in both Further and Higher Education managing virtual learning environments, e-learning staff development and the integration of technology in teaching and learning in line with quality assurance processes. I graduated with an MA ICT in Education at University of Nottingham in July 2009.
I am experienced in the use of mobile learning and e-portfolios to improve attendance and achievement in post-compulsory education and the links below (Publications) refer to my MA dissertation on e-portfolios (2009) and other research I have disseminated this year.
Over a 2 year period I successfully bid for and managed e-learning projects totalling £100,000. I enjoy working with multiple stakeholders including IT and academic staff and disseminating good practice on a national and international platform. Consequently I hope to participate in MirandaMods in the near future and am interested in supporting any national/international e-learning projects.
