Personal Statement

Personal Statement

As a Subject Leader for ICT in a secondary school, I strive to provide the most fulfilling and relevant curriculum to my students.  The current changes to the curriculum suggested by the government have lead to a feeling of freedom, coupled with trepidation, at providing new and exciting opportunities to engage students in their learning of a broader range of ICT and Computing topics.

In a world where we are preparing students for jobs which don’t yet exist, it is essential to give them a broad and balanced view of the technologies around them, providing students with a vehicle to further their ICT capability in a way which will help them in a practical sense for years to come.

I am always searching for new ideas and innovative techniques to capture my students’ imaginations, enabling my students to make progress, enjoy their lessons and achieve examination grades they can be proud of.
