Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I am an independent, freelance learning researcher and facilitator with a background in primary teaching and research experience/expertise/interests in the areas of digital literacy, enquiry learning, learner voice & participation and teacher professional development.

I worked as a researcher for Futurelab on the Digital Participation project (2008-2010) and co-authored some of the outputs of that research, including a practitioner focused handbook on digital literacy and the accompanying teacher professional development resource.

My current work includes designing and delivering digital literacy workshops for teaching practitioners and students at the British Library, working as a contracted researcher for Futurelab on two large multi-partner European projects, one of which is developing scenarios for future learning and I am also currently writing two short briefing papers on technology enhanced assessment for the University of Bristol.
