My fundamental background is technology education/metal work. In that field I am a student, a teacher ,an advocate of clean environment and human rights. My drive in life is to strive to contribute the little I can to the advancement of integration of ICT in education, particularly in my chosen career in the university system.
Basically, my ICT interest is not removed from the broadest objectives of ICT in education which is to reduce the burden of transmitting knowledge on tutors/teachers /educationists, encourage individualized learning and collaboration e.t.c. It is my fervent desire to develop my skills and overall competency in the methodology and utilisation of ICT tools,more importantly how to develop computer assisted instructions packages.for instance i',m proposing to investigate the effect of Computer Assisted Instruction on the performance of students in Technical Drawing in secondary schools in My state, Sokoto,northern Nigeria.my greatest challenge is designing the CAI,am consulting and exploring the possibilities in that regard ,i would appreciate any assistance from you in what ever form.
Presently am doing Masters Degree in instructional technology in Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria ,Nigeria.I just concluded my course work and about to commence thesis.My proposed topics are:1) the effect of computer assisted Instruction on students performance in technical drawing in secondary schools in sokoto state.
and 2) Assessment of the use of ICT tools in content delivery by teachers of Tertiary institutions in sokoto state (i.e State Polytechnic and college of Education)
Recently,I joined a colleague to design and develop some graphic materials for teaching alphabets and object recognition in primary school the study is concluded and is subject for assessment for publication,i shall send a request for publication in due course.
1. Organizing Metal Fabrication Workshops,Labratories as a tool for vocational/technical education and industrial development in Nigeria.
2.Overview of the Relevance and Limitations of ICT in education
