MirandaNet Fellowship Profiles (MirandaNet Archive - as of March 2015)
I have been a lecturer in Computer Science Education Unit of the Department of Science and Mathematics Education in the University of Cape Coast since 2006. I have been teaching courses in B. Ed. Computer Science, B. Ed. Science and B. Ed. Health Science in the department as well as postgraduates in the Faculty of Education. I also sometimes teach courses in the Department in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology. I am currently on study leave at UC College of Education and pursuing a PhD in ICT in Education at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. My area of study is e-learning and change in higher education. I am interested in exploring the uses e-learning in teaching. It is my expectation that at the end of my study I will have gained expertise to acquaint myself in current knowledge, practices and techniques to be a researcher in e-learning, increasing knowledge in my speciality, set up and train others in e-learning. As an educator, I hope to continually make decisions that positively impact student learning while teach future teachers. When given the opportunity, I will set up and train others in e-learning in the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and the world.
