Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I became involved in using technology to support learning when the BBC Computer made its appearance. I did a lot of work using Logo and wrote a number of support modules to try to make it more accessible to teachers.

Later I became an Advisor for Dorset and among other things helped to produce 'Fun With Spreadsheets'.

With local government re-organisation I was made redundant and I have provided training, consultancy and technical support for the last 15 years.

I have been an enthusiastic supporter of j2e and Scratch for a number of years as I believe that giving pupils the freedom to explore technology in a creative way is the best way to empower them for the future.
