Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I have had a passion about the transformative powers of digital technology in education for the past 15 years. I have spoken to groups of inspectors,Department of Education Officials and Headteachers on this subject. I have introduced a range of ICT courses into the school and I am driving our journey to 1-1 computing-nearly there!

I have helped our school become a Microsoft Pathfinder and Mentor school and I have represented the school at the Microsoft Global forums in Washington DC and Prague.

This year I was appointed a Microsoft Coach and I am delighted to have the opportunity to share best practice with other schools in Sweden, Netherlands, the UK and Ireland.

I am Chairperson of the Foyle Learning community VLE Group and we aim to make digital collaboration a reality across 15 post primary schools in the area. We work in partnership with the University of Ulster Creative Technologies Department with a view to transforming the digital economy.
