Personal Statement


Personal Statement

As member of the College of Social Science eLearning Team and the eLearning Support Officer in the School of Education, Stuart's main areas of support for staff and students are with the use of the University of Birmingham's VLE and other learning technologies. He also manages the University Intranet pages for the CoSS eLearning Team and the School of Education.
Stuart's particular interest is in supporting initial teacher trainees and their tutors in various aspects of Technology Enhanced Learning.

Biography

Stuart’s first career was in primary school education (1974 – 1997). He joined the University when Westhill College became part of the University in 1999, having been a technician in the Maths, Science and Technology Department at Westhill for a year.

Stuart has an Open University BA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems from Wolverhampton University, as well as his Cert Ed from Worcester.
