Personal Statement

Personal Statement

Four years spent as an assistant and then deputy head teacher and a decade in the classroom provided me with a deep understanding of the daily challenges which must be overcome by successful schools, school leaders and classroom practitioners. My early career revolved around the creation and delivery of challenging ICT curricula in both primary and secondary settings.

Following this, four years in the private sector as Education Director of an ICT consultancy working with new build schools across the UK brought a great deal of commercial and change management experience. I am currently Group Director for Technology for United Learning, a national group of 50 maintained and independent schools in the UK

My academic background and ongoing interest in my own education have been instrumental in evolving a commitment to evidence-based practice and a focus on work of a quality that stands up to critical scrutiny.
