Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I am particular interested in gamification and education publishing - the focus of my current dissertation research. I have also worked in schools that make use of the one to one Mac programme and would love to receive and share ideas on how to use technology effectively in the classroom. Visual literacy is also an interest of mine because I have seen the ways in which reading has changed due to technology's evolvement. Initially, I was somewhat resistant, trying to hold on to the string of words that I was taught but I am beginning to see the benefits of visual literacy, especial with students who are considered to have difficulty learning. I would certainly like to gain more knowledge in this area so I can better drive student's learning.
