Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I am a Maltese teacher who just finished my MSc in Educational Leadership (Leicester). I am very much interested in sharing my experience in the educational field and join a community of educators. My creed is that 'education is not the filling of a pail but the lightning of a fire' (William Butler Yeats) , thus as a professional I seek to continuously expand my vision on education. Through my eleven years experience in primary classes (in both State and Non-State schools), I have learned that this could be facilitated by joining forces with other critical thinkers in the field. Nowadays, the majority of us being digital citizens, we are called to make the most of ICT in bridging the gap that geographical distances may induce on a subject that unites us all, i.e. education. Collaboration between all stakeholders in the educational sphere could definitely contribute to a better future generation of citizens; not just students.
