Personal Statement

Enrolled in the DTWICT-Teaching with ICT course as an external candidate University of Cambridge. Only started learning about and exploring the different tools of ICT. Have had an amazing experience with it as I involve children in ICT integrated lessons.Get 95%engagement and same goes for learning and collaboration amongst the children. Want to know more.

Feel confident with the Planning phase but still involve traditional teaching styles not because i dont want to let go but because i am aware of limited resource to help me plan with free and easy to use ICT resource and software.Need help form others who have tried and tested with a variety of these.

Resources and exposure to the children with new technology is limited in our country but I will say we are quick to learn and adapt.We have language barriers too especially while children in my school are confident users of the language but online guides and instructions are in an accent in which the children are not familiar with so they take time to understand and participate in on-line games and various learning activities. I have learnt to manage with the limited resource but it is a tough job since all the children get anxious to get their hands on technology. In this area i also need to initiate some dialogue with others. 

Have recently been introduced to formative assessment using ICT, rubrics and level descriptors. This is also uncommon in our country. I want more advice on this.
