Personal Statement

Personal Statement

I am currently Assistant Principal at Hampton Academy (one of the 4 members of the Learning Schools Trust).  In addition, I am a Local Authorit Governor at Radstock Primary School in Earley, near Reading.

My main role comprises a College Principal (Head of KS3), in addition to line management responsibility for Curriculum ICT, day-to-day school management (Cover, Calendar, Educational Visits Co-ordinator), BTEC Curriculum Offer (Lead IV),

I have secured Hampton Academy's membership of the Hounslow Computing at Schools Hub, and am seeking to build wider networks of like-minded professionals in order to support the teams at both Hampton Academy, and across the Learning Schools Trust

Prior to being appointed Assistant Principal, I held different roles at Maiden Erlegh School in Earley, near Reading.  Most recently, the role was as Head of Year.  Previous to that, I held positions of Assistant Head of Year, and had responsibility for eLearning across the school, including leading the implementation and development of the original Learning Platform.  This role facilitated work across the Local Authority, in particular with a focus on developing systems for closer Primary-Secondary school working, to support the Key Stage 2-3 Transition Process.

I have also co-authored a NVQ Level 2 Business & Administration textbook

I would hope that the professional connections and links that might be possible through this community might also be helpful for conduction my MSc dissertation research.
