Personal Statement

HR Mohan is a graduate in Engineering from IIT Madras, India. With over three decades of experience in Information and Communication Technologies at The Hindu, the national newspaper from Chennai, India, Mr. Mohan now superannuated and involved in ICT Consulting. His areas of interest include: Open Source Software, Software Engineering, Knowledge Management, Internet, Web & ePublishing, eLearning, Web Marketing, eCommerce, Cloud Computing, Big Data & Analytics, eGovernance, Information & Cyber Security, Digital Libraries & Archives, Library & Information/Content Management and Services, Employability, Soft Skills Training, Skill Development  and IT Education and related areas. 

Mr. Mohan is a Fellow of Computer Society of India -- the largest IT professionals association and currently serves as its President. The society members include about 100,000 engineering students and around 600+ engineering institutions. Now Mr. Mohan is keen in promoting ICT in Schools.

Mr. Mohan is also a senior member in IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Professional Communication Society, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society and Association for Computing Machinery.

Mr. Mohan edits an eNewsletter for CSI and contributes regularly in the publications of IEEE India Council and CSI print publications. Apart from managing few egroups in his areas of interest, Mr. Mohan assists non profit organisations in managing their websites.
