Personal Statement

I have been working in education since 1995. I am trained as a science teacher and have worked as a science and IT teacher. As part of my role I was also a primary ICT liaison teacher. I have recently been using synthetic phonics to help EBD  boys to read. Now I am working freelance as a literacy and IT consultant, Web Design and writing for disaffected and EBD children who struggle with reading. I am using synthetic phonics as a focus.

ICT Interests

I now have an MSc IT.  I am hoping to use the java based technologies in web design, particularly in education.

Recent Projects

I am particularly interested in the use of ICT in education, to inform and  enhance learning. Also to celebrate learning. I am interested in becoming involved with the GREAT Learning Centre at Leicester Cricket Club which is doing amazing work with under achieving KS2 & 3 pupils.
