My main task is to work with secondary schools to help develop teacher's use of ICT in their lessons. The approach is designed to support individual teachers and the departments they work within.
My work tends to be in the areas of An input in to Department meetings Team teaching a lesson Developing schemes of work to include increased use of ICT Working with subject advisors to share good ideas So far there has been great interest from teachers in the areas of Sharing ideas/resources for use with Interactive White Boards Sharing resources via websites/intranets Use of videoconferencing in lessons Editing Digital Video for use in lessons I have an interest in the way in which ICT is evolving worldwide
I work as a Hands on Support ICT Consultant in Telford (Shropshire). I am enjoying the work because it is very practical and is helping develop teacher's use of ICT in their lessons. The approach is designed to support individual teachers and the departments they work within. My work has focussed on sharing ideas for use with Interactive White Boards, use of videoconferencing and digital video for in lessons, and methods of sharing information electronically.
