Personal Statement

Andre Mostert is an academic practitioner at the Centre for Innovation Management and Enterprise at the University of East London, who has expertise in entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, financial management, Islamic Finance and Languages. Andre led the team on the development of the BA entrepreneurship, developed the Enterprise 360 model and supports students to develop business ideas and opportunities, through the student peer2peer model (Consensio). Andre has conceptualised various education development projects and managed diverse programmes for different agencies, including, USAID, TDA, BECTA, British Council, DFID and Asia-Invest. Andre supports a number of EU projects and continues to develop H2020 activities to support UEL’s engagement with enterprise development and entrepreneurship. As a Research Associate in the School of Languages at Rhodes University in South Africa where he works with senior students and academics to engage in different research projects focussed on language and language policy.
