MirandaNet Fellowship Profiles (MirandaNet Archive - as of March 2015)
I am Head of ICT at a girls independent school but have worked in State schools both as IT co-ordinator and Physics teacher. I also spent two years in Botswana teaching in a rural secondary school. In 1995 I gained an MA in ICT in education at Reading University and moved from Physics teaching to IT co-ordination.
I am a member of the education and training expert panel of the British Computer Society and have worked with the Inclusion group for a few years before moving to the BCS education members support group.
I am interested in VLEs (especially Moodle), the growth of digital photography and the role of podcasting in education.
Currently experimenting with the National Schools' Observatory (NSO) to use real astronomical data in the classroom.
