Allison is Director of Outstream Consulting and Trustee of the Board of Management of Naace; she is joint author of Naace’s Curriculum Framework and passionate about technology enhanced learning. Allison is co-author of two new text books for Routledge and a contributor to Nesta’s ‘Decoding Learning’ (Luckin et al, 2012).
She taught for many years before joining the Local Authority as senior ICT Adviser in School Improvement, responsible for improvement through the impact of technologies, and e-safety, later becoming a director and trustee of the London Grid for Learning and Chair of the pan-London (London Challenge) Teaching and Learning action group. Subsequently Allison joined Becta as the London Regional Manager.
Allison led the team that successfully wrote national e-safety guidance for FE & Skills and vulnerable learners. Other published national research includes a review of the national ICT CPD landscape. She has delivered keynotes for a number of organisations including Inside Government and Forum Business Media, EACH, Optimus Education, Naace, MirandaNet, London Knowledge Lab and the DfE.
With a proven track record at senior level within the education sector, Allison is known to be impartial, objective and independent with keenly developed analytical, presentational and oral and written communication skills.
Allison has a well-rounded background in school improvement, change management and organisational development, government, local government, visioning, procurement, CPD, e-safety, professional development, transformational ICT, curriculum development and implementation, research and project management. She is a keynote speaker, workshop leader and author.
