Personal Statement

I work in the Technology Enhanced Learning Team that is part of the Academic Development Unit at Staffordshire University. I work with staff across the university to support the use of technology to enhance learning in the classroom and online. I'm particularly interested in learning design for blended and distance learning, and the use of data to support learning and teaching.

My previous post that ran until 2013 involved creating Best Practice Models for E-learning based on research and making them available to practitioners in an online community of practice. The models are used to support our staff development activities and full details can be seen on the wiki http://bestpracticemodels.wiki.staffs.ac.uk/

Before working at Staffordshire University I worked at the JISC Regional Support Centre as an E-learning Advisor, and prior to that I used to teach English and Teacher Education at Preston College. I've always enjoyed exploring how technology can be used to interest and inspire students as well as making my job easier!
