Director of ICT. This means I am responsible for whole college ICT policy and staff training and curriculum use. Warden Park is a newly formed specialist status school with a unique status for Maths, MFL and ICT through global communication.
No qualifications - just a lot of time sat in front of the students working my way around applications. Knowledge of HTML, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Director, MS products, IIS5.0 and various other gizmos. Interested in the Development of Intranet environments in community colleges and schools. Use of multimedia design to write curriculum based materials.

Work with Sri Lanka on ICT Curriculum development through Sussex University, Free state Government South Africa as a consultant with MirandaNet projects on e-learning
Researcher for Mirandanet research on several projects including Becta e-learning for the Museum service, Interactive white Boards, E-facilitation and the use of concept mapping.
Action research project on computer resourced collaboration environments (DFEE BPRS). Transfer effects across curriculum areas. This will have an emphasis on promotion of thinking skills in collaborative work. Using Think.com with various groups as part of a DFEE BPRS gained this year on collaborative work spaces and Thinking skills. Project details in Case History.

Interactive White boards and their effect on pedagogy
Currently working with Inspiration as part of a MirandaNet research team on concept mapping and using web 2.0 tools in the classroom to promote problem solving and critical/reflective thinking.
Computer Supported Collaborative Work Environments: Their use and effect in promoting Metateaching Within this report I aim to review the process and the outputs of this action research cycle. The initial writing of this work has been very difficult for me as a non-practised researcher trying to understand the very process of this type of research. I believe that the process has been a positive one and that my understanding of this type of work has greatly increased.
