Personal Statement

I am interested in human development in social contexts. In these social contexts, I am particularly interested in how humans engage in the use of artefacts, not only cognitively, but also affectively and at participating in social practices. In this way, the diverse fields in which I have developed (ICT, teacher development, Gestalt psychotherapy, poetry writing and live art) come together.

ICT Interests

I am interested in teacher education. I have work with teacher for about 20 years, since I was newly graduated and I taught Logo to them. Later, I worked with Microworlds, with the idea of developing learning environments. I also worked in collaborative projects between schools. Later I participated in thee experiences in Mexico. First, I participated in one of the teams that designed a collaborative project for Red Escolar (School network). Then, I coordinated the Language (Spanish) area in the Sec21 Project (Secondary for the 21st Century). Finally, I coordinated the team that created the prototype for 'Encyclomedia'. All these projects became National Projects in my country. I have been a consultant as well in private schools, and to the National Institute for Adult Education in Mexico.

Case Histories

My PhD research is base on an intervention in the Sec21 Project. I will write about this in the near future.
