Judith Seipold (CV in German language) is a professional in media education, and a member of the London Mobile Learning Group (LMLG; www.londonmobilelearning.net). After having graduated from the University of Kassel (www.uni-kassel.de) with a Master of Arts degree in Educational Sciences, Politics and Psychology, she worked as Academic and Project Manager at the University of Kassel and as European Af fairs Adviser for the Directors’ Conference of the State Media Authorities (DLM) in Germany (www.alm.de).
Judith is involved in University teaching, as well as in a number of projects within the field of socio-culturally informed Media Education, focussing on media literacy, media formation (Medienbildung) and media use in everyday life and educational contexts. Her current research is on mobile learning as agentive and meaningful activity in school and everyday life, with a focus on the transformation of informal contexts and their structures into formal learning contexts. Further research interests relate to use of children’s television, protected PC use in elementary school and media literacy in everyday life.
One of Judith's recent projects related to mobile learning is MoLeaP - The mobile learning project database (www.moleap.net). MoLeaP is a public and free-of-charge online database for teachers, researchers and other (education) professionals interested in learning and teaching with mobile media.
