Personal Statement

I am a educational technology learning and teaching advisor.  I also do work on BSF projects as an ICT education lead.  I deliver training and INSET on ICT for BSF schools as part of contracts in Lewisham, Waltham Forest and other London boroughs.

As part of my role I also look at and advise on training in other contexts and have recently been working with the Royal Navy, Police, Prison and Fire Service.  I am also a school inspector on the UK am fninshing my PQSI(Professional Qualification in School Inspection).  I am an fellow of Mirandanet as part of my work on Swedish and UK educational systems comparison.

 I am particularly interested in innovation, learning and teaching, mobile elearning, web developments with ICT and have completed a Masters degree where my dissertation was the impact of blogging within the classroom as a tool to add value to the learning process.  

ICT Interests

I am interested in web 2.0 and innovative uses of hardware within the classroom such as touch surfaces and interactive walls. I am intersting in mobile, app development and games based learning.   I have experience of being a head of ICT for 10 years and also assistant head of sixthform. I currently advise schools on curriculum and National Strategies agenda as well as departmental reviews using the new Ofsted framework. I train school in the use of learning platformsand have used many LMS/LCMS comibations as well as blended learning techniques. I have experience of delivering BSF and bid writing for BSF. I have also worked with the Royal Navy, Prison service, Police training and fire service training.

I am currently working in Sydney, Australia.  I have working on innovation, esafety, mobile, curriculum, computing
